Class
Prices
Each
class is priced based on 34 class periods from the week of
August 25, 2008 through the week of May 18, 2009. This cost
is then broken down into 9 convenient monthly payments. Each
monthly payment is due the 1st of the month. If payment is
not received by the 10th of the month a $15.00 late fee will
be assessed. Please plan ahead as the 10th is firm regardless
of whether we have dance that day. Mail in payments postmarked
by the 10th will be accepted with no late fee. Monthly statements
will not be issued. Your prompt payment is appreciated. Accounts
must be cleared by Sunday, May 10, 2009 to ensure participation
in the Spring performance(s).

Adult Single Class Fee $15.00/hour class
Private Lesson $45.00/hour
Adults
may purchase a 10 punch card (10 hours) for $145.00 per card
or pay monthly.
Senior Adults (in the Vintage classes) may purchase a 10 punch
card for $120.00 per card or pay monthly.
Class
Attire
In all classes age appropriate dancewear is
required. No jewelry please. No food or gum is allowed in
the studios; water bottles only. Lightweight jacket or ballet
sweater is acceptable during warm up. Hair must be neat and
pulled back. Hair must be in a bun for Ballet 3 - 6 and Pointe
classes. All tap students Level 2 and below must have tap
fasteners for their shoes (no ties) or oxford tap shoes. Habitual
lack of proper dance attire will result in the dancer sitting
out during class.
Creative Movement: Black leotard
preferred (other solid colors optional), pink tights, pink
ballet shoes, black tap shoes. Boys wear black shorts or sweats,
white tee shirt, black ballet shoes, black tap shoes.
Ballet 1 – Ballet 4: Black
leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Short pink or black
dance skirts optional. Boys wear black shorts or dance pants,
white tee shirt, black ballet shoes.
Ballet 5 – Ballet 6: Solid
color leotards, solid color tights, pink ballet shoes. Short
dance skirts optional. Gentlemen appropriate dancewear, black
ballet shoes.
Pointe: Refer to Ballet attire, pink/peach
pointe shoes. Short dance skirts optional.
Tap 1 – Tap 2: Solid color
leotard or dancewear with black bike shorts or leggings. Boys
wear black shorts or sweats, white tee shirt. Low heeled black
tap shoes.
Tap 3, Boys Tap, Teen Tap, Adult Tap,
Too Cool Tappers: Dancewear or stretchy street clothes.
Low heeled tap shoes.
Jazz, all levels: Solid color leotard;
tights, capris, leggings, or jazz pants. Black jazz shoes.
Hip-Hop, all levels; Bouncin’ to
the Beat: Dancewear or stretchy street clothes; no jeans
please. Separate (non street shoes) sneakers required. (These
must be carried in the studio and only worn here.)
Lyrical/Contemporary: Solid color leotard; convertible
tights, capris, leggings, or comfortable dancewear; bare feet,
ballet or lyrical shoes.
Dancewear
For your convenience Broadway Bound Dance
Academy carries tights, ballet slippers, tap shoes, tap fasteners
and jazz oxfords. Many items are available in stock while
others may have a short delivery time. We try to keep our
items reasonably priced. You are free to purchase your dancewear
here or at another reputable dancewear store. We also carry
other unique dance items such as sweatshirts and dance bags.
To keep costs down we have a shoe trade box (give a pair,
take a pair) and a used dancewear bulletin board.
Pointe
Classes
Any student wishing to begin pointe who has
not previously been in a pointe class must be checked by the
Pointe instructor and Ms. Rhoades. We have arrangements with
Prima Bodywear in Ft. Collins for pointe shoe fitting (do
not buy pointe shoes before class starts). If you are a prior
pointe student, please feel free to go to Prima Dancewear
or other reputable dancewear store for your pointe shoes.
Students just beginning their pointe program are required
to take at least one private lesson with the Pointe instructor.
Recital/Performance
Our Spring Recital/Performance is scheduled
for Saturday and Sunday, May 16 & 17, 2009 at the Roberta
Price Civic Auditorium at Thompson Valley High School. Tech
Rehearsal for the Evening Show is Friday, May 15, 2009. Students
performing in this show are required to attend. Some of our
older students may also be asked to perform at our Holiday
Traditions Show on Saturday, December 6, 2008.
Feedback
All students, faculty and parents are encouraged
to let us know your feedback. Our goal is to make this a fun,
challenging, and energizing place to study and improve recreational
and competitive dance.
Competition
Teams
Broadway Bound will continue our Junior, Teen
and Senior Competitive Dance Teams this year. This year we
have also started a Mini Performance Team and a Hip Hop Competition
Team. For Adults we also offer EDGE, our professional dance
team; and Essence, our Adult performing group. Please speak
with Head Coach Jen Jamison or Denise Rhoades if you have
any questions.
Mini Team members are required to take a minimum
of 2 classes per week at Broadway Bound; 1 of these is a rehearsal
class. One class must be Ballet or Jazz. Additional classes
are encouraged.
Junior Team members are required to take a
minimum of 4 classes per week at Broadway Bound; 1 of these
is a rehearsal hour. One class must be Ballet, one must be
Jazz, and one is a team technique class. Additional classes
are encouraged.
Teen Team members are required to take a minimum
of 6 classes per week at Broadway Bound; 2 of these are rehearsal
hours. At least two classes must be Ballet, one must be Jazz,
and the other class is dancer’s choice.
Senior Team members are required to take a
minimum of 9 classes per week at Broadway Bound; 3 of these
are rehearsal hours. At least two classes must be Ballet,
one must be Jazz and the remaining 3 classes are the dancer’s
choice.
Hip Hop Team members are required to take
a minimum of 2 classes per week at Broadway Bound; 1 of these
is a rehearsal hour. One class must be Hip Hop. Additional
classes are encouraged.
Competition team fees are $80.00 per month
for the Mini Team, $115.00 per month for the Hip Hop Team,
$145.00 per month for the Junior Team, $230.00 per month for
the Teen Team and $275.00 per month for the Senior Team (no
discounts on these fees) based on 9 months. Rehearsal hours,
choreography, costume fees, team wear, conventions, and competitions
are included in this monthly fee. (Hotel fees are included
for the Teens and Seniors. Minis, Juniors and Hip Hop must
stay with a parent or responsible adult.) Classes are in addition
to competition team fees.
EDGE
Professional Dance Team
Broadway Bound is also proud to offer an 18+
Adult Performing Group. The emphasis of this group will be
for pre-professional and professional dancers wishing to expand
their performance experience. Auditions will be held Sunday,
September 7 from 1:00 – 3:00pm at the Studio. EDGE regular
class/rehearsal time is Wednesdays from 8:30 – 10:00pm.

Essence
- Adult Performance Group and Rehersal
This rehearsal time, 9:00 – 10:00pm,
on Tuesdays is open to any adult wishing to be in the performance
group. Adults in this group must take the Adult Performance
Class offered on Tuesdays before the rehearsal time. In addition,
they must meet a basic skills assessment. (This group is separate
from the 18+ group above.) There are also a wide variety of
adult classes offered for those wishing to take additional
dance classes. A Beginning Adult Jazz Class will be offered
for those adults interested in Essence.
